The problems I had with Global Corporate Relocations on my move from Cairo to Barcelona were: 1. After the first offer, the company added 200 EUR for a shipping crate in an updated offer. That should have been included in a door-to-door service, and if there was a misplanning on their side, it should not be me having to pay for it. But because I had no time left to wait for the other offers, I had to take it anyway. 2. The company asked for 250 EUR more for a parking permission in a part of Barcelona that has wide streets and loading-zones. I'm glad I talked to my landloard and didn't pay. After my negative answer the responsible person told me that there won't be a charge for the parking. 3. 3 items were damaged, despite a relatively good packaging. Someone must have whacked my things about really badly. Because they do not have a high money-value, it did't make much sense to insure them, and I would have been too tired to negotiate about insurances anyway. 4. I think the company would have been able to tell me that at the moment it is impossible to get an appointment with the police for the NIE process. It would have saved me a lot of stress during the first two weeks, when I tried to get it done. Offering me another expensive service at least didn't help, and I didn't take it. 5. What I don't understand is why one cannot track the crate during the shipping. It would definitely have been a great comfort. 6. To not end on a totally negative note I do want to add that the communication was and stayed always impeccably fast and friendly.

Hi there Carola, we thank you for your comment, even though its the first negative one we have received. If you dont mind, we would like to answer your points as received. 1: Change of price after the first offer: They suddenly added 200 EUR for a shipping crate (which should be included in a door-to-door service. If they had a misplanning, that's not my fault). Because I had no time left to wait for the other offers, I had to take the offer anyway. – REPLY to 1 Regarding this charge, we agreed with you that we added the 200 €, but this was explained to you and was prior the acceptance of the service. The day before you informed to me that you were revising with other companies and I agreed to await to your decision / I think I never put pressure on you to accept our service. I would completely have understood that you chose another company for this increase. On the other hand, I forget to mention in our phone conversation but your shipment was bigger than the quoted, final volume was 4m3 and as a gesture of good will we did not charged you additional fee for this. I can share with you the bill of landing showing this final volume for your records. 2. They wanted 250 EUR more for a parking permission in a part of Barcelona that has wide streets and loading-zones. I'm glad I talked to my landloard and didn't pay. – My colleague Christopher, informed to you about the extra charge, as we as movers as a general rule we have to get an special parking permit for the moving service through Barcelona’s Townhall. Which means that we have to pay a fee for doing loading/ unloading services in the city center as part of a moving service. REPLY to 2 This is how it works in Barcelona for movers and If we don’t have the authorization form the Town Hall, we can be fined. When you claimed about it with my colleague Christopher, he agreed to not charge you anything as you have a small shipment and the time for unloading would be short. But we normally charge for this service and this is showed in the exclusions of the service. 3. 3 items were quite damaged, despite a relatively good packaging. Because my things usually do not have a high money-value, I didn't want to pay extra for an insurance, and I certainly am too tired of all this to negotiate about insurances anyway. – REPLY to 3 Regarding insurance, we always recommend insurance service, and this is mentioned in our proposal, in our acceptance e-mail, as you saw Carola, the packing at origin was good, but your goods were transported and handled by the origin agent, by the shipping line and by us at destination. Although we do our best to get the goods in perfect conditions, it is out of our control as there are always third parties when moving internationally. I am not happy that you received some items in bad condition, but you chose NOT to take out an insurance policy offered by us which would allow you to claim to get a compensation. 4. Instead of telling me that in Barcelona it is impossible to get an appointment for the immigration process at the moment, which they most probably know about, they offered me another 280 EUR service to help getting the NIE, which is much more money than I would have saved. – I was the coordinator of the move, and really I don’t know how the inmigration process works in Barcelona, if I would have known I would have inform to you. REPLY to 4 When I explained the requirements you mentioned you will start with your NIE process and at that point I did not know if you had a lawyer assisting you in that process or not. In order to help I explained you later that we have a department who specializes in the inmigration process and I put you in contact with my colleague Inma, she only send you our offer to assist with the process. You could hire the service or not, but what I want to make clear is that my intention was only to help you not making the process to you more difficult.

Best Move in 30 years. Christopher & Andrew have a World Class packing team in Madrid. Moved a 3 Bedroom flat with priceless Art & Furniture & Wardrobe. The details in the packing and crates were perfection. The packing insured every item showed up the same as it left Madrid in the US! Christopher followed up every step of the way. The Hildrup Team in the US also did a First Class job with delivery and unpacking. I have family in the moving business that never moved my possessions with such care and excellence! I highly recommend the Global Team!

La experiencia ha sido 100% recomendable. En principio nos teníamos que haber mudado a Toronto hace 2 años, pero tuvimos que retrasarlo y Global nos respetó la señal que habíamos dado en 2019. El trato con el personal ha sido fantástico y todas nuestras cosas han llegado de Madrid a Toronto en perfectas condiciones. El personal , tanto en Madrid como en Toronto, han dejado todo recogido. Global ha realizado más de 3 mudanzas en mi hogar. Dos de ellas han sido internacionales. No he tenido ni un solo inconveniente, siempre respondieron con mucha profesionalidad y rápidamente. Buscan siempre solucionar todo y que no tenga que preocuparme por nada! Gente muy amable. Sin duda volvería a contratarlos y los recomiendo sin duda alguna!

Moving country is never an easy task but James at Global Corporate Relocations made it a very smooth process. He was extremely helpful and always very courteous keeping us updated frequently. We had a very positive experience with Global, who we contracted to ship our household goods from Barcelona to Singapore. Their team was courteous and professional. In particular, Marian was a joy to have in our home for the 3-day pack out. Of all the people we have encountered in our many international moves, he will always be remembered for his smiling good humor and positive demeanor - so much appreciated during stressful days! A few ceramic pots, bowls and glasses arrived broken - otherwise we would give them a 5-star rating.
